Ticino Tour 2022

The first trip that we did together in May was a great success. Great people and a lot of fun!

So, we want to do it again!
Following many requests, we want now to go to visit the Italian part of Switzerland!

We visit the most beautiful places of Ticino, we live the Italian life, we hike (not mandatory and with multiple options for any level), we swim, we celebrate the National Day and we enjoy time together.

July 30

We will go to Italy and take the fascinating Centovalli train that will bring us back to Switzerland, to Ticino. We’ll visit the beautiful surroundings of Locarno and of the charming lakeside of Ascona.

July 31

Take your swimsuit! We go to swim in the cool green water of Verzasca river. Few people dare to jump from in the river by the Ponte dei salti (Bridge of jumps) in Lavertezzo.

We will then hike and visit the stone towns, the cristal clear river and the multiple waterfalls of Valmaggia.

August 1

It’s the Switzerland National day! We will live the Italian lifestyle in Lugano. We will hike over the Lugano lake and we’ll go to visit Morcote, someone says it’s the most beautiful towns of Switzerland! We will take the boat to reach Italy and view the beauty of these towns from the water.

In the evening we’ll be back to Lugano to celebrate the Swiss national day.

August 2

We conclude with the capital of Ticino, Bellinzona, with its city life and its castles.

We arrive back in Lausanne at 20:15 and in Geneva at 21:10.

  • We have limited spaces. First to pay, first served.

  • When breakfast is not included, it can be added for 15 CHF per night.
  • If you have specific requests (e.g. you can’t take vacation the 2nd of August), let us know, we’ll look for a solution.
  • If you have the SBB General Abonnement, write us, we’ll discount the transportation costs.
  • If you don’t have the Half-fare card you can buy it following this link. You may do it some days in advance if you don’t have yet the Swiss Pass. We strongly recommend to buy it if you live in Switzerland or if you intend to visit more using public transportation.

Cancellation policy

Since we make no profit, we can’t give back the part of the money spent on your name (e.g. some travel tickets), but we assure that we make anything possible to limit the cost by finding a replacement person (e.g. for the hotel).

What is included

  • The train from Geneva or Lausanne to Ticino and the train back
  • All the trains, busses and boats for the 4 days (If sometimes you don’t want to stay with the group, wake up later, go back to hotel earlier, you can take the same transportations at any hour you want)
  • The hostel accommodation for 3 nights
  • The tourist tax for 3 nights
  • Guide that talks the local language (mainly very loud and accompanied by of strange gestures)

What is not included

  • All that is not specified in the section “What is included”

Conditions

  • You come under your only own responsibility. Under no circumstances we will be held responsible or liable in any way for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities whatsoever.
  • We just ask you to let us use the pictures we take in the trip for future marketing. If you don’t want to appear in those pictures, please, just let us know before taking them.
  • The plan is indicative. While trying to explore everything, we could change it especially to profit of the best weather conditions.

Please, note that we don’t aim to do any profit from this trip.

The scope is to gain feedback and references to start a Travel business somewhere in the future.
Therefore we just ask your sincere feedback, good pictures with you in those beautiful places and that you help us to grow our social media community (still to build).

We charged a little more than what we pay to cover possible issues. The residual will be given back in drinks and in form of prices to the ones that will make and share the best picture.
